The Dark Knight: Comic Books' Crowning Jewel

Now i retract the statements i made last week involving the Dark Knight a few months ago, when i said that Batman Begins is better.

The fact of the matter is.... IT ISN'T.

The complexities and storytelling in the Dark Knight was just as great as the original Christopher Nolan flick.

Remember the old saying, "A movie is only as good as it's villain?" well that quote pretty much sums up the film. Batman Begins had Mili Ducard (played by Liam Neeson) and Scarecrow (Cilian Murphy), who in the Dark Knight only had 5 minutes of screentime what does that say? Begins did precisely what it was supposed to do... focus on Bruce Wayne and Batman. Where as the Dark Knight focused on the health of Gotham City. People made me sick with all the obsession with Heath Ledger's character as opposed to the plot, which made me think he overpowered the movie's perception compared to Begins. However credit is due, Ledger left his life's mark with the greatest film of his career. But the more i watch the movie, the more i love Commissioner Gordon, Harvey Dent, and the plot!

If you haven't purchased or seen the movie, you're missing out on the greatest comic book movie of our time. If it wins some Academy Awards, it will be a breakthrough for Comic Book films and fans throughout the world! There has never been a Comic movie to take home two Oscars and this movie has the best chance to do so.
