The Top 5 Best Uniforms in the NFL

I was watching football yesterday and the Atlanta Falcons decided to use their old default uniforms (the all black ones). and i decided to rank the best uniforms in the NFL right now. Just as a forewarning i'm not taking into consideration of the alternate jerseys, as much as i love the all black Jaguars and Ravens' or the orange Broncos and even the powder blue Chargers, i decided to base this blog on the default jerseys around the league and here's what i have (dont be upset if i discredit your team's unis.

5. Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks changed their unis when the divisions divided into 4 in 2002. While they were the only team to change from AFC to NFC, they also decided to change their look altogether. They changed from a royal blue and green scheme to a sea foam navy and lime green. Now i know what you're thinking, "What they are ugly as hell?!" i beg to differ, it wasn't just the colors that drew me in, it was the jersey that is so obscure and interesting. Unlike the Giants, Falcons, Buccaneers, and Colts, the Seattle jerseys are made of a different mesh material. The Giants, Falcons, Bucs and Colts' unis are used of a synthetic mesh that wraps tightly around the players' pads making them look buffer. Seattle's sleeves are made of a silk material that fits a little loosely and shines. Their away jerseys aren't the best of the bunch, but the navy they use is definately the most unique shade of the color that the NFL has.

4. New Orleans Saints: The most classy uniforms in the NFL. i believe that the saints black and gold scheme doesn't demand attention that unis like the Chiefs, Cardinals and Bengals. They are solid and represent the higher side of Louisianna life which is opposite what everyone believes about New Orleans and Mardi Gras. The Saints usually mix up their pants from gold to black with both shirts, the white and black.

3. Denver Broncos: This has nothing to do with my biased towards the Broncos, because they are my favorite football team. But i believe fondly that they have the most simplistic modern idea. The orange stripe revamped the uniforms of college and NFL jerseys. The colors orange and blue represent the skyline of denver during the winter and represent the city phenominally! Their jerseys have influenced Boise State, Arizona (NFL), University of Cal Berkely's old jersey, West Virginia, etc.... Their font coorlates with the name logo of the team. I didnt want to put them number 1 cause i know that there are better nfl uniforms.

2. Atlanta Falcons:
The problem with Falcons was that their uniforms were consistently bad! In the 80's they wore too much red, in the 90's they wore too much black. Now they created a jersey that complimented both the red and black and balanced it quite fittingly with white thrown in the middle as a buffer. They originally wore Black uniforms in 2004, but now they (same as the Titans)are using their alternate uniforms as their defaults nowadays. They now wear red shirts when they are at home. They have a square number font that is simple, big, easily legible. They have the best new uniform to come along since 1996 when Denver went with the swoosh stripe.

1. Pittsburgh Steelers: The steelers have the greatest logo and helmet of all time! The one-sided logo is unique but not farfetched. They are dark yet bright at the same time. They are intimidating and their colors represent the city of Pittsburgh perfectly! Can you name any other sports city where all the teams playing in it have the same colors? i didn't think so, with Pittsburgh; the Penguins (NHL), Pirates (MLB), and Steelers (NFL) all wear the black and gold! They are classic and whenever teams head to Heinz Field seeing the steel curtain come from the tunnels almost makes everyone shit their pants! The Steelers have the best uniforms because they have altered the fonts, and patch on the jersey, yet keeping the same sleeves and primary uniform at the same time. Unlike the Cowboys, who's jerseys are boring and don't match with their counterpart. The steelers balance power with fun and uniqueness.
